This fine, rare white Vertus is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown on our enclosed plot (clos) “La Fosse le Loup” in the very heart of the village and cultivated since 1963. It brings us back to the origins of champagne, to a time when it was not yet effervescent. It enjoys the additional advantage of being matured in wooden barrels, retaining its crisp tension and the minerality so characteristic of the Vertus terroir, not to mention the generosity of the fruit. It represents – with an added touch of modernity - the Vertus vineyards’ “Coteaux Champenois” of yesteryear.
